You might remember our friend Chris Dixon who represented Australia and ran 233km in the 24-hour Oceania Championship a few months ago. Yesterday he started an attempt on the world record for the longest distance covered on a treadmill in 7 days, which is currently set at 912km. Chris has already run 286km in 2 days and is aiming to hit 1000km! He is planning to get through 14 Moor gels a day and a serve of our carb drink mix every 2 hours!
The record attempt is part of the 2 day Helping Hands Running Festival which brings together 200 runners at Lake Guthridge, Victoria to push themselves over a variety of distances to raise funds for Free 3D Hands and support people living with limb differences.
The event is open to the public so if you want to get along to support Chris you can get down to H&C Fitness in Stratford and say hi Best of luck Chris and everyone pushing themselves for a great cause at the festival next weekend!
